The UNIVERSITY OF ALGIERS 1 Benyoucef Benkhedda set up a QUALITY ASSURANCE UNIT, hereinafter referred to as “QAU-UAlger1”, to oversee quality improvement activities. The unit reports directly to the Rector. It is chaired by a Quality Assurance Responsible (QAR) and made up of Quality Assurance (QAC) representatives (coordinators) from the 5 Faculties that make up the university.

The QAU-UAlger1 supports internal quality assessment processes in the areas defined by the National Quality Assurance Referential (RNAQ-ESRS)*, namely: capacity-building, scientific research, governance, infrastructures, university life, relations with the socio-economic environment, and cooperation
